Ayurveda and Julie Corbeil

Julie Corbeil first became interested in Ayurveda in the early 1980s, when she studied yoga, meditation and Ayurveda. After being trained in Ayurvedic massage, she worked in health centres in Ottawa and Huntsville, Ontario, providing Ayurvedic treatments to clients in need.

Natural empathy and a quest to nourish a sense of well-being in others led her to the Esalen Institute in California. She has also worked with small children, individuals facing loss of autonomy, prisoners and the mentally ill. Her career path, fuelled by a passionate interest in Ayurveda, led her to teaching and operating an Ayurvedic clinic in Montreal. In collaboration with the Canadian Association of Ayurvedic Medicine, she organized a seminar on Ayurveda for general practitioners in Quebec. Since 1991, she has appeared on television, written articles, lectured and given workshops on Ayurveda.

Julie Corbeil studied Ayurveda in Canada, the United States and in India. Her teachers have included, among others, the renowned Drs. Chopra, Douillard and Triguna as well as Dr. Lad, the founder of The Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico.

In 1997 she starts her own practice as an Ayurvedic Therapist. Recognized by the Academy of Naturopaths and Naturotherapists (ANN) of Quebec she also as a training as an herbalist with L’herbothèque. Julie Corbeil maintains offices in Montreal and St-Pie de Bagot, where she gives consultations, treatments, workshops and teaches meditation.

Testimonials

I want to thank you again for providing me the connection to Ayurveda for my journey to perfect health. I am feeling the benefits of the few routines I’ve put into place.

And best of all, my finger joints are better. My fingers easily fly over the keys as I type at my computer. I am looking forward to when the joint stiffness is completely gone.
